This is a blend of smallholder coffees from the Popayán plateau in the state of Cauca.
It is coffees like this that give Colombia its reputation as a producer of some of the most reliably delicious coffees in the world. We've been buying this coffee for years, and it's unwaveringly excellent. It has a dense sweetness, impeccable balance, and ripe apple and stonefruit tones.
A darker roast will bring out bittersweet chocolate notes and a creamy mouthfeel, while a lighter roast will accentuate the fruity flavours alongside smooth caramel tones.
Equally great as a single origin or as a blender.
